What to expect
As part of our integrated program, we encourage our patients to undergo fitness and strengthening programs under the supervision of specialists. This can help prevent chronic pain or the onset of pain in the future.
Each DISC facility has an equipped gym designed to help patients strengthen muscles and joints for long-term pain prevention and pain management. Programs target individuals at any fitness level.
DISC Therapists are qualified to assist in a variety of training that includes kinesiology, movement therapy, and other therapeutic training programs. This type of training can be helpful for patients with chronic or repetitive pain with the goal of becoming pain-free through movement therapy and for weight loss and improved metabolism.
Programs are designed on an individual or small group basis. The program can be scaled to each participant.
It has been shown that small group training is highly motivating, cost effective and more educational. The goal is to teach the individual independence in training which is more effective in the long run and to teach them correct technique in weight bearing exercises that stimulates real life situations to avoid injuries.
